Adventure and Love on the High Seas
Well that’s it for the mainland life!
I’ve sold my furniture, donated many an item to goodwill, sold my beloved truck and powerboat, and packed up the rest of our gear. Took one last picture of the wall map where I imagined this day over and over again and headed out the door to our new life!
Whew, where to start. The past two months have been a whirlwind. It’s fun to talk about the possibilities of taking all your money and buying a sailboat to go around the world in, imagining beautiful beaches and exotic lands. But when that bank account hits zero and your repair list stretches out the door, the reality of this monumental task hits home. The past two months have been one big, big reality check.
So when Adam first threw out the idea of sailing around the world I will admit I pictured hammocks over crystal clear waters and white plush sun chairs on the beautifully maintained teak deck of our big, clean, spacious yacht…
